Amphibious Jeebus

Everyone's all "hallelujah" and shit about a statement that the pope made recently where he ostensibly endorses the concept of evolution of species and attempts to "reconcile" it with religion and creationist dogma.

Why the hell would a maneuver like this score ANY points whatsoever with anyone other than the "on the fence" devoted crowd?   This is a tactic that any religion that has survived the enlightenment has employed since the age of reason dawned.  The co-opting of irrefutable logic and attempting to make it fit their paradigm is essential to the theocracy keeping their blood sucking claws dug into the population.

They've had to do this in a number of instances over the centuries.   If they don't, then they cease to exist.   So while some in the crowd are cheering the pope and his cronies on for reconciling myth with reality, i say, push them FURTHER into their corner.   Only when they finally admit that their entire existence has been an affront to logic and reality and that it has all been a grand scam from the beginning, can there be ANY virtue to anything they might proclaim.    These sorts of statements ought not endear anyone with any integrity TOWARD the church.  It should embolden the resolve of those of us who KNOW the truth.

Next steps?   The pope admitting that the mystical basis for Christianity as a whole was a known fraud.

I'll wait.  Take as much time as you need.
